Photobiomodulation Therapy
(a.k.a. red light therapy or low level laser therapy)
8-15 minute sessions
Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy with the NovoTHOR Light Pod delivers a therapeutic dose of red and near-infrared light in an efficient full-body treatment. When light is applied with the right wavelength, intensity, and duration, your body's cells react by producing more energy. So instead of just having enough energy to get by, your cells get a boost that allows them to repair, replicate, and do their jobs. When all the different cells in your body all do their jobs really, really well, you get broad health benefits such as
decreased pain and inflammation
faster recovery and less soreness after exercise
faster recovery after injury
reduced fat and cardiometabolic risk factors
clients report better sleep, reduced stress, improved mood
Intended uses for PBM therapy include
improving muscle performance
restoration of joint motion
muscle relaxation and relief from spasms
relief of pain and inflammation associated with arthritis
increase circulation
adjunct to weight loss, combined with diet and exercise
Why NovoTHOR? This specific unit is the most powerful, efficient technology on the market to deliver a therapeutic dose of PBM. There are other types of red light technology available, but they cannot compare with the strength and efficiency of NovoTHOR's performance. In 8-15 minutes, you will receive the most beneficial dose of PBM available.

PBM FAQ's
Q: How many sessions are needed?
A: That depends on your goals and current condition. In general, acute injuries (sprains, abrasions, etc.) show rapid improvement and often resolve in 2-4 treatments. Long-term and chronic conditions may need up to 10 treatments to show significant benefits.
Q: How often should I do PBM?
A: Most clients do 3-5 times per week until their goals are met, then reduce to 1-2 times per week for maintenance. For athletes with a rigorous workload, 3-5 times per week is recommended for optimal recovery.
Q: Are there any side effects?
A: No, treatment is non-toxic, non-invasive, and has no side effects. It is safe and effective for most people.
Q: Are there any contraindications?
A: Treatment is NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: pregnancy, epilepsy, active cancer lesions, and anyone taking photosensitive medications.
Q: Do you wear clothes?
A: You may disrobe to your level of comfort. The more light that touches your skin, the more effective the treatment.
Q: Do you need eye protection?
A: No. The wavelength of red and near-infrared light is actually healthy for your eyes. You may want to close them and take a nap, though.
Q: What should I do before my session?
A: Remove all jewelry that could refract light or scratch the unit. Remove as much makeup as possible, and limit the use of lotions, especially ones with light-blocking agents. Hydration is vital to the success of the treatments, so please drink water throughout the day!
Q: What will I feel?
A: The lights themselves do not become warm; however your circulation increases throughout the treatment, so you may experience a feeling of warmth. A quick energy boost or feeling of euphoria is also possible.
Q: What should I do after my session?
A: HYDRATE!! Water is essential for cellular processes, and your cells will be hard at work after PBM. Make sure to drink extra water and eat well so your cells have all the fuel they need to heal.
Q: What success markers should I look for?
A: Pain levels for acute or chronic conditions, improvements in color or texture of scars, improvements in skin texture and tone, quality of sleep, energy levels, recovery time post workout, and energy levels throughout the day are all good markers to track success.
